Personality: This version of John is just as tiger like as his canon self, but in a calmer way. He prefers to mediate before using brute strength. He has a sharp wit and a passion for protecting children as well as being a man with very strong faith always willing to do the right thing rather then letting someone else get hurt.

History:

This version of John started out in the mob, but when Amanda Beckett was shot, John decided to change his path by turning his back on crime and becoming a mechanic. For years he tried to forget his past, but his past didn't forget him. Walking home from work one night, John saw some of his former "co-workers" harassing an older man. When he stepped in to help, the man, Shiro Yoshimo, saw something in John and revealed his duty as a Knight of the Holy Cross to the young man. Shiro trained John believing that, he was the next destined welder of Fidelacchius, the Sword of Faith.

John humored the old man believing his hands too stained with blood to even be in the same room as such power. When Shiro died during a mission, John was shocked to discover his mentor was right as the Sword took the form of a claymore. John takes his duties as a Knight very seriously even to the point of hiding the truth of his path from anyone he gets close to. To anyone else in Chicago he is simply a blue collar man who vanishes from his auto shop from time to time not someone who knows more about the mystical world than he lets on.
